Mobile app for your online store, generated straight from your site

4buildsite turns your published site into a native Android app with your name and icon. The app automatically picks up the site's menu, products, cart and theme — no code to write and no mobile team to hire. You get a signed APK/AAB ready for Google Play, and a complete source project for iOS.

What is the mobile-app module?

The mobile-app module generates an Android app from your published 4buildsite site. It is not a plain WebView: the app has native tab navigation, native product and cart screens, and content pages load from the site. You configure everything in the panel — name, icon, splash color — and the platform builds and signs the app for you.

Short answer — how you get the app

  1. Publish your site in 4buildsite, then enable the mobile-app module from the panel.
  2. Configure the app name, icon and splash color — no code.
  3. Generate the build: you get an APK for testing and a signed AAB for Google Play.

How it works (4 steps)

1

Pick the published site

The module starts from a 4buildsite site that is already published — store or marketplace. The app automatically inherits its menu, products and theme.

2

Configure the app

Set the app name, icon and splash-screen color from the panel. Choose which modules go into the app: catalog, cart, categories, account.

3

Generate a signed APK/AAB

The platform builds the Android app and signs it with a per-site key — you get a test APK and an AAB for the store.

4

Publish to Google Play

Upload the signed AAB to your own Google Play Console account. For iOS you download the source project and compile it in Xcode, on a Mac.

What you get in the app

Native features, not a wrapped website — built from your site's data.

Native tab navigation

The app's tabs are built from your site's menu: home, catalog, cart, account. Navigation works like in a real app.

Native catalog and cart

Products, categories and the cart are native screens, synced in real time with the store — same stock, same prices.

Secure checkout

Payment completes on your site's secure checkout, with Stripe and 3-D Secure — no separate configuration in the app.

Theme taken from the site

The app's colors and style come automatically from the site theme. Change the theme in the editor and the app picks it up on the next build.

Push notifications (coming soon)

The push-notification scaffolding ships inside the app and will be switchable from the panel, without manual republishing.

Deep links on your domain

Links to your site (from an e-mail, SMS or social network) open directly in the app, on the right screen.

Visual editor for your mobile app

You customize the app right in the panel, visually, with a live phone preview next to the settings: pick the colors and theme, arrange the bottom tab bar and decide which screens go into the app — no code and, for most changes, no new build.

Colors and theme

Pick the app's colors and theme from the editor; every change shows up in the phone preview.

Bottom tab bar

Reorder the bottom tabs, rename their labels and pick their icons from a clean, curated set.

Screens and modules

Turn the app's screens on or off — catalog, cart, categories, account, content pages — with a single toggle.

Live phone preview

A phone in the panel shows exactly how the app will look before you save — you never guess the result.

Live

These reach already-installed apps without a store update

Theme, tab and module changes are delivered hybrid: apps that are already installed apply them the next time they open — no new build and no new version in Google Play.

Needs new build

Only these require a new build

Only the app name, icon, splash screen and package identifier require a new build — the editor flags them clearly, so you know upfront what triggers a re-publish.

The Mobile app subscription

The mobile app is sold as its own subscription, “Mobile app”, from €100/month, added on top of an online store or marketplace already published on 4buildsite. The four tiers differ by the number of builds per month (5, 10, 15 or 25) and the custom-development hours included (1, 3, 5 or 10). Push notifications and your own icon and splash screen come with every tier, and priority support from the Pro tier.

Frequently asked questions about the mobile app

Do I need a Google Play account?

Yes, publishing requires your own Google Play Console account (a one-time 25 USD fee to Google). 4buildsite generates the signed AAB ready to upload; you publish from your own account, so the app is listed under your company's name.

Can I publish on iOS too?

Yes, as a source project: the platform generates the complete iOS project, which you download as a zip archive and compile in Xcode, on a Mac, with your Apple Developer account. Cloud iOS builds are planned as a next phase.

Does the app update when I change the site?

The content does — immediately: products, prices, stock and content pages come from the site in real time, no republish needed. Only native changes (name, icon, splash color, modules) require a new build and a new version in Google Play.

How long does generating the app take?

The first build usually takes 12–20 minutes; subsequent builds, 4–8 minutes. You follow the progress in the panel and download the artifacts from there once the build finishes.

Who signs the app?

The platform generates and keeps a per-site signing key, so every version is signed consistently — a Google Play requirement for accepting updates. The key's fingerprint is visible in the panel for Play App Signing.

Is it a WebView app that Google Play rejects?

No. Google Play rejects apps that merely wrap a website. The 4buildsite app has native tab navigation plus native catalog and cart screens; only content pages load from the site — an accepted hybrid model.

Your store, in your customers' pocket

Enable the mobile-app module from the panel, configure the name and icon and generate the first signed build — your published site does the rest.
