What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO optimises the site to appear high in Google results and earn clicks. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) structures content with clear, direct answers that generative search tools can read and show, including answers shown without a click. We do both, because people search in both ways.
How does GEO change the content on my site?
Generative search tools work best with clear, factual, well-structured content. We build question-and-answer pages with a short, direct answer up front, JSON-LD structured data and trusted sources. No optimisation can guarantee how a search tool will display a page, but this structure makes the content as easy to read as possible.
How long until SEO results show?
SEO is a medium-term investment. Technical fixes (speed, structured data, titles) take effect within a few weeks; ranking on competitive keywords usually takes 3-6 months of content and authority.
Do I need to rebuild my site for you to do SEO/GEO?
Not necessarily. We can optimise an existing site (technical, content, structured data). If the site has serious technical problems with speed or structure, we recommend a rebuild on the 4buildsite platform, which comes optimised from the start.
What is structured data and why does it matter?
Structured data (Schema.org / JSON-LD) are tags that explain to engines what a page represents: product, FAQ, organisation, article. They enable rich results in Google (stars, price, FAQ) and help search engines understand your content.
Do you also optimise site speed?
Yes. Speed is part of SEO. We optimise Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP): compressed images or inline SVG, fonts with display:swap, reserved dimensions to avoid layout shifts. A fast site ranks better and loses fewer visitors.
